Welcome to Mousehole Camping
Our summer camping season runs from April to mid-September. Our site is ideal for campervans, tents and small motorhomes (7m max) but please note that we do not accept caravans and we are NOT suitable for larger motorhomes as the approach roads from Penzance are narrow and there is a short steep ramp at the site entrance.
From mid-September through to the end of March we make 11 hardstanding pitches available at low season prices to give self-contained campervans and motorhomes touring Cornwall a place to stay with an electric hook-up. Facilities are closed at this time of year and we do not open reception. Our site at this time of year is suited to self contained motorhomes although we do keep one toilet&shower room open where possible
We welcome small groups, walkers, cyclists and campers looking for a quiet campsite in a great Cornish location. We are dog friendly, providing the dog is not on our banned breeds list, is well behaved and kept on a lead.
Please note that we are a family campsite and operate a ‘quiet campsite’ policy between 11pm and 7am – Arrivals to site are from 2pm-8pm to ensure everyone gets to enjoy a peaceful evening. If you want to party through the night then please look elsewhere for a busier site!
WINTER OPENING
From mid-September through to the end of March we make 11 hardstanding pitches available at low season prices to give self-contained campervans and motorhomes touring Cornwall a place to stay with an electric hook-up.
Note, however, that our facilities are limited for the off season and our site is suited towards self contained motorhomes. Toilets, elsan and water are still available.
Nearby
A 500 metres walk takes you into the heart of the traditional village of Paul, which has a historic Church, an unspoilt pub with great food, drink and weekly live music, and a bus service from Penzance to Lands End.
A short downhill walk, giving you spectacular panoramic views over Mounts Bay, leads to the iconic and much-photographed harbour-side village of Mousehole, with its bustle of small boats, fascinating narrow streets of centuries-old stone cottages, an interesting range of small shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and pubs, easy access to the south-west coast path in both directions, as well as various festivals and events in the summer months.
The larger town of Penzance is a couple of miles away, providing the usual array of ‘High Street’ retailers, including supermarkets, food outlets and banks, together with many local independent shops, a regular ferry-boat as well as a helicopter service to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, a main-line railway station, plentiful taxis and bus routes to most parts of West Cornwall, a recently refurbished sea-front open-air pool with a heated section, and a short walk across the causeway at low tide to St Michael’s Mount. There’s also a 24-hour ‘urgent care’ Hospital, GP surgeries, pharmacies, a leisure centre and cinema.
Easily reachable on foot, by car or public transport are the popular Sennen Cove, Lamorna Cove, Porthcurno and St Ives to name but a few.
Between Mousehole and Penzance lies Newlyn, home of a large fishing fleet, an annual fish festival and several fresh fishmongers, as well as cafes, pubs and restaurants. The RNLI Penlee Lifeboat is situated here, its open days providing some hands-on experience and illustrating its remarkable and often tragic history.
And of course literally next to Mousehole Camping is Mousehole AFC, a friendly and progressive non-league football club, with a welcoming clubhouse and an increasing reputation as one of the best clubs, both on and off the field, in Cornwall!
